Halloween Time at the Gebs'

For me, the thing that really starts getting me in the mood for Halloween is our
annual trip to Fritzler Corn Maze in Greeley. There are all sorts of things the kids love doing. The Jumping Pillow, Shooting Corn and pumpkins, "go cart racing", walking through "The Beast" (even if it's a little scary) and other fun activities. But most of all... picking out the pumpkins.
Who knew climbing a tower of hay could be so much fun?

Duck Races... I think this was a lot of fun. The kids got to keep their little plastic ducks. Those ducks were very much loved for a week after. Especially at bathtime.
The best shot I could get of all four munch-kins together.

Carving the ole' pumpkins. (I wish I would have gotten a picture of them all lit up. The kids drew their own faces and did most of the cutting out this year.)

Of course Halloween isn't Halloween without costumes, and our costumes for the year were......

Buffalo Bill

Our Future Dr. Lindsay Gebs

Our Baby Bunny
Our Tough Pirate

Since Halloween was on a Sunday and we opted not to do Trick-or-Treating, we had a Halloween party instead. It was a lot of fun! We had Halloween Eats galore and fun games like......
Donut eating contest.......
Bobbing for apples....
a fun "pin the grin on the jack-o-lantern", which there are no pictures of and trying to get ping pong balls out of an empty tissue box by wiggling your hips.

What a fabulous Halloween we had this year! On to Thanksgiving!!!!!

Rain Gutter Regatta

Brandon's Cub Pack had a Rain Gutter Regatta a while ago. He was very excited for it! He and his dad looked online for some ideas. Brandon found one he liked and built it himself. He was really excited for it. He thought it would do really good. And it did. He won first place out of everyone! We were all very proud of him.

This is the final race... for all the marbles!

A proud boat racer.

Coney Head.

The kids are always wanting me to give Sophie a "coney head" The think it's hilarious! Sophie rarely has the patience for it.

I love this picture. Logan had just spit water in her face. Isn't her expression priceless?

I think Bath Time can be one of the cutest times to take pictures of kids. I actually had my camera for a fun morning of getting clean with my two littlest ones.

Fun FHE

We had a fun Family Home Evening a while ago. We learned about missionaries. Our lesson was on Ammon and what made him a good missionary. Then for our activity we all wrote Shane's nephew who's currently serving in Honduras. For our treat, the kids made their own name tags. They had a lot of fun with that. Logan said his looked the the Sphinx!

We're grateful for missionaries all over the world who are working so hard. We hope will become better missionaries!
