"That's ridiculous!"

Yesterday after filling up our van, I got in the car and said, "Wow, that was expensive!" Brandon asked what expensive meant and I told him it meant it cost a lot of money. Then he asked, "How much?" I told him "$53".
he exclaimed, "53 dollars?!?!?!?"
"Yep."
"53 dollars for GAS?!?!!?"
"Yes."
Silence for a minute
"That's ridiculous" Brandon concluded and after another moment of silence he said, "Those gas people must be really rich."
